In 1996, Sri Lanka won the cricket world cup marking an event that would never be forgotten. It was a moment of prestige and national pride that lingers on for generations since then, making it a moment of history that will be celebrated timelessly.
In line with the 25th Anniversary of winning the world cup, I was tasked with creating the brand identity of the event that reflected the spirit of sportsmanship while reminiscing the exhilaration of winning to all Sri Lankans.
Inspired by the World Cup trophy handed to the winning team in 1996, the brand identity of the event was created. The trophy took the centre stage in reminding fans of the auspicious moment in history.
